Science on Tap: Birds and Beers lll
Description: Join us on Thursday, November 14 (7pm - 10pm) at the Walkerville Brewery for an evening of fun with bird researchers from the University of Windsor. The Faculty of Science's âScience on Tapâ events bring together the community and members of the University in a casual setting. Along with opportunities to socialize over a glass of beer, our âBirds and Beersâ event will feature:
â¢ UWindsor Researchers delivering mini-talks about their internationally renowned bird research
â¢ Grad students presenting posters that summarize the findings of their studies
â¢ An avian Taxidermy Club displaying a selection of their bird specimens to the public
â¢ Exhibits featuring local bird observatories and local parks which focus on birding and research
â¢ Art and bird photography displays by UWindsor undergraduate students
â¢ Bird-themed trivia (with birdy prizes) for all levels of ornithological expertise
We would be excited to welcome you to the third annual "Birds and Beers" event whether you enjoy beer and buntings, hops and herons, lagers and larks, porters and peacocks, or ales and auks.
Tickets are $15, which includes 1 beer (or non-alcoholic drink of your choice), and 1 slice of pizza. Student tickets are $10; student ID must be shown at the door. Tickets available through snapd.
